Okay, this is a two in one!
The first thing that works for me is putting up a shower curtain suspension rod across the middle of the shower (in addition to the normal one on the side that hangs the shower curtain!)
The reason for this?
It makes a great center for drying wet clothes, hand-washed items, etc. [...]
